Web-Letter, Issue 172 – Liberty Wool Striped Mittens

How fun are these mittens?! They are what Pippi Longstocking would pick to put on for a good old fashioned snowball fight.  A great addition to your winter wardrobe that adds some fun and whimsy while you head out to face the cold. A joy for the young and old alike.

Tonia Barry

The Story:

A cold wind can sneak up the sleeves of the warmest winter coats. Long mittens solve that problem, keeping you cozy and snug no matter how fierce the wind blows or low the temperature dips. These mittens can be knit to the exact length that's perfect for you and the stripes make it easy to count rounds when knitting to ensure both mittens in the pair are precisely the same length.

Susan Mills

The Yarn:

Liberty Wool
100% washable wool

A super-soft, washable wool with 16 solid colors and five prints, Liberty Wool is the solution for easy-care projects. At 5 sts per inch, this yarn knits up quickly and has a balanced twist that makes all stitch combinations pop.

Liberty Wool is available in both printed and solid colors—so you can choose whether you want your yarn or your stitches to be the focus of your project. With the ease of machine washability, this is the perfect go-to yarn for projects that will get a lot of wear.
