Issue 238 – Camellia in Silky Alpaca Lace

I love red as an accent color. It’s the perfect addition in the winter months, when things need a bit of perking up, and it lends a little gravitas to the flashy palette of summer. It seems to go with everything! This week’s pattern, Camellia, is a great example of adding just a splash of color to your wardrobe.

The shawl design, by Meg Myers, captures the beauty of Silky Alpaca Lace and enhances it with a delicately beaded border. Although any of the 36 available colors of Silky Alpaca Lace could capture your imagination, I especially like Garnet – and it’s one of our Stitch Red colorways. From left to right, Harbor Beach, a lacy long scarf with stockinette stitch and eyelet borders; Tidepool, a striped wrap with sleeves to be work hanging open or tied; Dune, a close-fitting sleeveless tunic with a deep back neckline; and High Tide, an A-line top with colorful feather and fan stitch.
