Issue 545 • Deep Valley Cardigan
As we transition to spring, cardigans are essential for adjusting to changing temperatures throughout the day. It may be chilly in morning, warmer as the sun rises higher, and cool again at the end of the day.
This cardigan with a small shawl collar is shown worked in one of the many printed striping colors of Liberty Wool but would be a great wardrobe basic in a solid shade. The yoke, collar and sleeves are worked sideways in garter stitch, from the center to the cuff. Stitches are then picked up from the bottom edge of the yoke and worked down to the hem in Stockinette stitch. Sized for XS to 2XL this cardigan requires 10 (11, 12, 13, 15, 16) balls of Liberty Wool.
